Born:     25th/08/1994 Full names: Batsurana Brian Brand names: Brian Safari Guide   Brian was born in the district of Kasese in the south western part of the country in the village of Katwe fishing village that is in the heart of Queen Elizabeth National Park.   Attended Uganda Wildlife Research and Training Institute where he completed a diploma in Wildlife Tourism Management before attending Poole Harbour Sea Survival for his Powerboat training and acquired an international license of Powerboat level 2 and Powerboat Handling.   His background of having been born and raised in the heart of Queen Elizabeth National Park extended his wildlife knowledge and passion of nature.   Brian has worked with various organizations which include Katwe Tourism Destination Centre as a tourist guide and marketing and promotional manager, in 2016 he worked with Medicines Sans Frontiers as a community engagement personnel before he joined Mweya Safari Lodge in 2018 where he worked as a senior guide and boat captain for four years.   Brian is a professional passionate and flexible down to earth team member that is well vast with Ugandan wildlife (birds,mammals,butterflies plants and reptiles), culture and history from which he has learnt over the years working in the tourism industry and undergoing various trainings including first aid and off road driving and as he developed keen interest for birds, travel blogging and training up raising youth tourist guides from different institutions.   His language ability include English, French, Swahili and speaks over 6 indigenous dialects.   Brian is active and sporty and often goes swimming, watching football and reading travel books, birding and searching butterflies.
