Namaara Linda is a tourism professional, trainer, researcher, and licensed tourist guide with extensive experience in tourism education, conservation, cultural heritage, and nature-based tourism. She holds a Master’s Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Makerere University – Uganda and has lectured Tourism and hospitality at Kyambogo University, contributing to the development of future tourism professionals through academic instruction and mentorship.
Linda is a Level III Trained Tourist Guide, a registered and licensed guide with the Uganda Tourism Board (UTB), and an Assessor with the Uganda Vocational and Technical Assessment Board (UVTAB). Her professional expertise encompasses birding, general guiding, tourism research, cultural tourism, and nature photography guiding, where she helps travelers and photographers capture meaningful experiences while appreciating Uganda’s diverse natural heritage.
A passionate advocate for conservation and youth engagement, in 2025, Linda served as the Coordinator of the Global Youth Festival for the Conservation of the Albertine Rift Endemics, promoting environmental stewardship and biodiversity conservation among young people. She also served as a Tourist Guide for the MICE Group during Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo (POATE) 2026, showcasing Uganda’s tourism products and experiences to international and regional tourism stakeholders.
Linda is one of the driving forces behind the Uganda Women Photography Club, where she designs and conducts training programs that empower women through photography, storytelling, and tourism-related skills development. Her leadership has played a significant role in advancing women’s participation in photography and visual conservation.
Deeply passionate about culture and heritage, Linda organizes and leads cultural tours and experiential trips that connect visitors with Uganda’s rich traditions, communities, and living heritage. Through her work in tourism, conservation, education, and photography, she remains committed to promoting sustainable tourism, professional excellence, and meaningful travel experiences that create lasting impacts for both visitors and local communities.
